MIRROR — Refund Policy
Effective date: October 19, 2026 Provider: John Greg (sole trader), 14610 Bull Run Road, Miami Lakes, FL 33014, USA, contact contact@mirrorspeak.app.
This policy forms part of our Terms of Service.
1. Summary
| What you bought | Refundable? |
|---|---|
| Mirror Pro — monthly or yearly subscription | No — all sales are final (§3) |
| Mirror Pro — a later renewal charge | No — cancel before the renewal date to avoid it (§3) |
| The $1 Starter Pack | No — all sales are final (§4) |
The one exception, for both, is technical failure: if what you paid for does not work, that is our fault and we will fix it or refund it (§4).
2. Who processes your refund
Payments for MIRROR are processed by Polar, which acts as merchant of record. Your contract of sale is with them, they hold the payment relationship, and they carry out and have final discretion over any refund.
This policy sets out the circumstances in which we will support and request a refund on your behalf. It does not and cannot oblige Polar to issue one, and it does not replace their terms — which also let them refund, delay or reverse a payment independently of us, for example where they detect fraud.
In practice, when a request meets this policy, we approve it and it is processed. We tell you either way.
3. Mirror Pro
All sales are final. A Pro charge, whether it is your first or a renewal, is not refundable as a matter of course.
Cancel before the renewal date and the charge never happens. That is the control this policy asks you to use, and it is always available to you: one click in the customer portal, at any point in the period you have already paid for. Nothing is charged after you cancel.
The exception is technical failure, and it applies to Pro exactly as it applies to the one-time purchase — see §4. If you paid and the product does not work, that is not a change of mind and we will fix it or refund you.
If a renewal genuinely caught you out — you meant to cancel and did not — write to us anyway. We are not obliged to refund it and this policy does not promise that we will, but we would still rather hear from you than take money from someone who does not want the product.
Cancelling is not the same as a refund. Cancelling stops future charges and leaves you with access until the end of the period you have already paid for. Asking for a refund asks for money back and ends access now. If you only want to stop being charged, cancel — you do not need this policy. You can cancel from the Polar customer portal, linked in your receipt, or by emailing us.
Partial periods are not pro-rated. If you cancel mid-period you keep access to the end of it rather than receiving part of the payment back.
4. The $1 Starter Pack, and the technical-fault exception
The $1 Starter Pack is not refundable.
It grants permanent, non-expiring access to the five starter scenes, and it is delivered in full the moment it is paid for. A refund after delivery would mean returning the money while the access remains granted, so it is priced as a one-way purchase and sold at $1 on that basis.
The exception is technical failure. If the purchase does not grant the access it should — the scenes stay locked, a payment succeeded but nothing unlocked, the entitlement is missing or wrong — that is our fault, not a change of mind. Tell us and we will either fix the access or refund you, whichever you prefer. We would rather fix it, because you wanted the scenes.
Nothing here affects any statutory right of withdrawal you have as a consumer (§6).
5. How to ask
Either path works, and you do not need to try both:
- Email contact@mirrorspeak.app. Say what you bought and roughly when. Your MIRROR username or the email you bought with is enough to find the order. This is the better route if something is broken, because we can fix it as well as refund it.
- Use your Polar receipt. Every purchase receipt links to a customer portal where you can manage or cancel the subscription and contact support. Polar handles order support as merchant of record.
We aim to reply within 3 business days. We will tell you the outcome either way, and if we decline a request we will say why.
Once a refund is approved, the time it takes to reach your account is set by your bank or card issuer, typically 5–10 business days.
Please write to us before opening a chargeback. A chargeback costs us a fee and takes longer for you than a refund we agree to. If this policy covers your request, asking directly is faster.
6. Your statutory rights
If you are a consumer in the UK, the EU, or another jurisdiction with mandatory consumer protection law, you may have a statutory right to cancel a purchase within a set period — and in some cases that right is stronger than this policy.
This policy does not reduce those rights. Where your local law gives you a right to cancel or withdraw that §3 and §4 do not offer, your legal right applies and we will honour it regardless of what this policy says. Write to us and say so.
This matters here: "all sales final" is our policy, not an override of your statutory rights, and it is not a waiver of them.
7. Changes
We will post changes here and update the effective date. A change does not apply retroactively to a purchase already made — the policy in force when you paid is the one that governs it.
